Nexxo Financial Corporation

nexxo.jpgTen years ago, most remittances to Latin America were done through the use of Western Union. Today, Nexxo Financial Corporation of San Bruno, California is taking a huge chunk out of Western Union's market share by using technology that allows the customer to experience quick, no-hassle transfers of money to those countries.

Nexxo has a network of kiosks throughout the Spanish speaking communities of the Southwestern United States. With the incorporation of proprietary technology into these kiosks, Nexxo is able to charge lower rates than its major competition (a definite plus considering our current economic situation.) Customers are pleased to hear that their first transfer is free with an eight dollar charge per thousand dollar transaction thereafter.

I used Nexxo's toll-free number to call in a money transfer to a bank in the small city of Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico. I was generally happy with their fast and efficient service. The transfer was received the same business day. We will have to see where Nexxo is headed in these turbulent times!
